Garry & Georgia Rose


Georgia and Garry Rose are a father / daughter duo that will capture your hearts, featuring nineteen year old Fiddle Wizard Georgia displaying her dexterity with scintillating Celtic tunes and dances and accompanying her singer / songwriter Dad’s eclectic range of songs that will have you laughing, crying and singing along.

Georgia won the U-25 Golden fiddle  at Tamworth when 17 and recently was a standout act at Top Act concert at the Melb Recital centre. Garry is a 35 year veteran of the folk / Country  scene

Garry noted for his fine voice and compelling delivery is a founding member/ manager of the Briagolong Bush Band who have played at many of the biggest festivals and released 8 Albums.

More recently he has also been performing with Georgia ( since she was 13) as a duo with concerts at many festivals including Pt Fairy, Apollo Bay, Nat Celtic Fest, Malden, Fiddlehead and Tamworth where they featured in concerts by Felicity Urquhart, Pixie Jenkins, Andrew Clermont . Georgia won the U-25 Golden Fiddle award, was a finalist in the Fiddle Album of the year and won a Bluegrass comp. and has played in Roo Arcus’s band

Recently as a result of her high mark in music performance for her VCE she was invited to play at the Top Class and Top Act concerts at the Recital Centre where she received standing ovations for both performances that includes dancing a Highland reel while playing the fiddle.

Garry’s songs cover a huge range of subjects from the raw honesty of the horrors of war, to Vampires, Farming travails, Haunting Immigrants stories to the singalong favourite   "You Wouldn’t be Dead for Quids"
